He Tohu Aroha was written in 1986 at the Tautoko Shelter which was at that time a halfway house for street kids. This song took Te Mokai to the finals in the group section of Telequest 1987 eventually winning that section.
Video 2
This is a 1990 Te Mokai reggae styled remake of a country ballard Lord Help Me Walk Another Mile, written by Joni Mitchell. This song was reworked at the Te Mokai Roopu Waiata music scheme which was located at the Awapuni Stadium Gisborne and features the second to last line up of the group before disbanding in 1992.
